Terms of Service - Job Swiper

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Job Swiper ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Job Swiper is a job search automation platform that helps users discover job opportunities and prepare personalized application materials using AI technology. The Service includes:

Create and manage your professional profile
Import job offers from any job board via our browser extension or by pasting URLs
Generate AI-tailored CVs with a Canva-like editor
Generate AI-powered cover letters
Generate interview preparation notes
Practice with AI-powered interview simulations
Track your job applications with a pipeline/Kanban board
Import your LinkedIn profile
Upload and parse existing CVs
Company research and insights

3. User Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Providing accurate and truthful information
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Provide false or misleading information in your profile or CVs
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Use automated tools to access the Service (except as provided)
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on the rights of others

5. Content and Data

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you provide (profile information, work history, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a license to use this content solely for providing and improving the Service.

5.2 Generated Content

CVs and other content generated by our AI are provided for your personal use. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of generated content before using it in job applications.

5.3 Third-Party Data

When importing data from LinkedIn or other sources, you must have the right to use that data and must comply with the source platform's terms of service.

5.4 Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to deliver the Service, including Stripe for payment processing, OpenRouter for AI processing, Supabase for data storage, Resend for email delivery, and Vercel for hosting. Your use of the Service is also subject to these providers' terms of service.

5.5 Privacy Policy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

6. Browser Extension

Our browser extension allows you to save job listings from third-party websites (Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.) directly to your Job Swiper account. By using the extension, you agree that:

The extension only activates when you click it
We do not collect browsing history or data from pages you visit without interaction
Job data you save is processed according to this agreement and our Privacy Policy

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Our Service uses AI to generate CVs and other content. While we strive for accuracy:

AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing generated content
We do not guarantee that generated CVs will result in job offers
You should not rely solely on AI-generated content without verification

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by Job Swiper and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

9. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

Paid plans (Pro, Unlimited) are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you expressly consent to automatic renewal and recurring charges.

We will send you a reminder email at least 7 days before each renewal with the renewal date, amount, and cancellation instructions.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or via the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
The Lifetime Deal (LTD) is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew.

10. Refund Policy

Our refund terms vary depending on your subscription plan:

Pro and Unlimited monthly/annual subscriptions: 14-day money-back guarantee from first payment. Email hello@jobswiper.ai to request.
After 14 days: no refunds, but you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your billing period.
Lifetime Deal (LTD): 30-day money-back guarantee from purchase. Non-refundable after 30 days.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Free plan: no payment, no refund needed.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Job Swiper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

If we terminate your account without cause, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, or receive a prorated refund at our discretion.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Geneva, Switzerland.
